Day 3: Arcades, a Brook, and a Dairy Farm

Today I got to spend more time with my little brother. I haven't seen him in five years or so and he's done a lot of growing up since then.  He's taller than me now, for one thing. In spite of that, we went to play some mini golf and kill time in the arcade and get some good old sibling rivalry going.

Playing The Lost World game!

She shoots, she scores!

I love playing air hockey. I was ahead, but he came from behind and beat me... twice.

Me and my great uncle at the dairy farm where we bought fresh milk pasturized right on the premises! They even sell strawberry milk in tiny, adorable jugs shaped like a usual gallon-sized jug. So cute!

One of my favorite places to go when I was a kid was my "secret place," a small brook on my great uncle's land. It's quiet and peaceful; something I really needed today.

The pine trees here are enormous. The house is on 33 acres of forest, so there are lots of animals that come around, including deer, wild turkeys, and rabbits (all of which I saw today alone). It's kind of magical.

My uncle likes to tell the story about when I was 4 or 5 years old and stood on a big rock at the top of that hill to give a speech to all the wild animals warning them to be careful not to fall into the brook. I was a silly kid.

That's it! Check back soon to see more of beautiful New England (and maybe some clothes?)!
